Successful first ice dive and wake for life at Lakeside Paradise.

The first ice dive in the Duinenwater lake, with a water temperature of 6 degrees Celsius, was a taste for more and is sure to become a permanent fixture on the 2019 Lakeside Paradise calendar. The inclement weather of recent weeks and a freezing cold Saturday may have been a bit of a spoilsport, but that didn't stop the 20 polar bears from entering the cold water after a joint warming up. What's more, they actually swam under the watchful eye of the lifeguards club of Knokke-Heist! Then it was the turn of the wakeboarders, 28 in total, who spread out over the entire afternoon to complete 500 laps on the cable car. Special thanks to the Red Cross, the Youth Council of Knokke-Heist and to the cycling clubs De Bumpers and Passe-Vites who made a joint effort after their weekly Sunday ride.
