This weekend theBelgian Cable Wakeboarding Championships took place. This year for the first time at Terhills cable park (Dilsem Stokkem)
Among the 120 participants, of course, the delegation of the Lakeside Pro team led by coach Arno Dhont.
And yes, after the international successes, the national titles were now coming in as the Lakeside team managed to snatch no less than five first-place finishes, along with four more places of honour.
Notable was the masters podium with none other than Glenn Vandenberghe, followed by Axel Tack and Guy Vanryckeghem. Also in fourth place here was Lakeside with Michel Reubens.
In the U11 boys, Noah Van Ghelder became champion, in the U14 Vic Droogmans, in the U18 Junior Ladies Nanou Lenaers and in the open men Louis Eggerickx.
There was also the bronze medal for Fleur Beyne in the U14 girls, and the silver medal for Emiel Lauwers in the U18 men.
KING & QUEEN of the Lake
Those who want to see all these top players live at work can now visit Lakeside Paradise all day Saturday 5 October from 9am as everyone will be in action to contest the 2024 club championships.
Entry is of course free and you are guaranteed to see all the international and national top performers at work.
The awards ceremony is scheduled at 6pm, along with the honouring of the world champions in the presence of all members and medallists.
